Hey everyone! I added this to my blog to answer simple questions that I’m commonly asked. If you can think of any good ones, please feel free to let me know!
1.) What lipstick/gloss do you wear every day?
I have the driest lips on the planet so I’m kinda picky with what I use. Women are always looking for that “perfect nude/pink” barely there-every day lip color. My favorite lipstick that I use (almost) every day is the Maybelline lipstick in the shade “Born With It”, paired with a touch of Nars lip gloss in “Turkish Delight” (a huge Nars favorite). For the lip liner I always use Jordana’s retractable lip liner in “Rock n’ Rose”. (it’s only like $3) -winner!
2.) How do you wave your hair/what tool do you use?
I used to get asked this a LOT. It’s pretty easy actually. I usually just let my hair air dry with just a little leave in conditioner (I love It’s-A-10) currently. When it’s completely dry I put in some hair oil (Moroccan Hair Oil) mainly on the ends, then I spray in some heat protectant. (This step is sooo important to keep your hair healthy) I use Tresemme Heat Protectant spray and then brush it all out. I section the hair into halves to make it easier to get all the hair curled. I use a regular Revlon curling iron that I have just taken off the clamp. I unscrewed it myself at home. Just wrap small pieces of hair around the iron (1.5 inch), and I leave about 2 inches at the roots out, and 1 inch of the ends out. This makes for a more natural look. After all the hair is waved, let it cool completely before doing ANYTHING to it. Once it’s cooled down completely, spray in hair spray all over and scrunch it a bit and brush threw with just your fingers. And done!
3.) What foundation do you use?
My go to foundation would be Tarte Amazonian Clay foundation in the shade Medium Sand. I have tried soooooo many foundations and I just keep going back to this particular one. I love this line of makeup products. It seems to be easy on the skin and works amazing. This foundation is full coverage and has a creamy/light texture to it. It does not have a fragrance or anything to harm your skin. I have really sensitive skin (I easily breakout and my skin is red sometimes) so this one has by far been the best for me. The price of it is about $40. You can get it at Ulta or Sephora.
4.) What was your major in college?
I graduated at West Virginia University with a Bachelor of Arts and Sciences degree in Multidisciplinary Studies. Basically this major allows you to choose three different areas of study instead of one, so I chose Advertising, Sociology, & Communication. I graduated in 2012. Let’s go eers!
5.) How old are you?
I was born in ’89 so I am 27 years old! My zodiac sign is Leo. (I’m a lion :P) The closer I get to 30 the more anxious I get, but I just keep reminding myself that “30 is the new 20”, plus I keep J-Lo & Jennifer Aniston in mind. LOL. Wear moisturizer every morning and night! It does wonders on your face, seriously.
6.) Where do you buy your clothes?
Most of the time I purchase my clothes at Forever21, Burlington, Gabes, & TJ Maxx. I’m a bargain shopper so I definitely like the discounted stores. I like Forever21 because I know my size in everything so I can just order online which makes life easier, plus they are really good at keeping up with current trends.
7.) What do you eat?
I typically eat 3 meals per day plus snacks in between. I’m not a health freak, but I tend to shoot for healthier foods when possible. I try to stay away from gluten and sugar as much as I can, but we all have that sweet tooth once in a while. For breakfast I eat Activia Yogurt, and a granola bar. For lunch I usually eat a sandwich and soup or salad, and for dinner I typically throw something together at home like gluten free pasta and a side vegetable. Try using coconut oil more when cooking. It’s good for you!
