Happy first day of Summer!! It’s my favorite time of year. I just can’t get enough of the sun, water, and flowers. I love being completely comfortable in just shorts and a tee shirt with flip flops! When I’m not working in the office all day, I am spending my time poolside, beach, my back porch, exploring parks/taking adventures, and hanging out with friends at some of my favorite water front restaurant/bars in the city. Below is a list of my current must haves for this season-both casual and dressy.
- Off the shoulder tassel tops
(thebluedoorboutique.com)
Two trends in one alert! Tassels and off the shoulder shirts are in, and perfect for the season. They’re cozy, cool, and cute. You can pair these flowy tops with blue jean shorts or jeans.
2. Hats

Hats are so in right now and I love it! I’m loving this straw like material for hats, bags, and more. These can be worn during the day, or evening for happy hour. -Adds the perfect touch to a finished outfit.
3. Blue Jean Mini’s
(womensfashionlist.com)
Jean skirts are back! I remember wearing these all the time throughout the 2000’s. I love this fringy one with holes, paired with a belt and body suit. “Effortlessly chic” if you ask me. 🙂
4. Rompers
This has to be one of my favorite trends of all time – the romper! I’m kinda lazy sometimes, so this makes life so much easier. Rompers can be worn day or night depending on how you dress them up. The only downside to these is that I’ve heard many girls say they don’t fit properly on their torso etc. But, once you find one that fits, you’ll be hooked, I promise! 😛
5. One piece swimsuits
(closetheroes.com)
I’m in loveee with this suit!! One piece suits are so flattering on almost everyone. If you’re feeling a little insecure about your stomach they cover that, while still looking sexy. -Forever loving the one-piece suits!
6. Boho-Chic Straw Bags

These straw bags are everything!! I love them for casual day wear, as pictured above, or even evening/night wear as a small clutch, as pictured below. Check out the little detail of the pom-poms on the clutch. -Obsessed.

7. Body Suits
Body suits are basically tops that you can wear under things because the bottom of the shirt ties together, so there’s no loose material hanging all over the place. They can be paired with so many different types of pants, skirts, and shorts. They can be worn day or night, depending on what your pair it with. For casual wear, pair them with jean shorts and a belt, or make it dressier with statement earrings and wedges.
Great post! I love off the shoulder tops and I love that one-piece swimwear is on trend this season!
